Three persons have been saved after they were rescued Sunday night from an accident at the Ojuelegba area of Lagos with a 40 feet container falling on a car.
According to a press release by the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Services, the three persons rescued by the Sari Iganmu Rescue Crew of the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service and other State Emergency Responders include two male adults and a female, occupants of the car crushed by the trailer.
It was learnt that the driver of the trailer and his assistant fled the scene immediately.
The Director of Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service, Margaret Adeseye, speaking on the sad incident, stated that the victims were rescued at the Abalti Barrack end of the Ojuelegba Bridge, Surulere. “The rescue alert which was triggered at 20:45 hours Sunday had the Sari Iganmu Rescue Crew of the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service among other State Emergency Responders including sympathizers rescued alive two male adults and a female adult who are occupants of the car while trailer driver with assistant escaped.”
“The three victims are being attended to at the Lagos State Accident and Trauma Center after being administered first aid on the spot of the accident,” the statement read. All three victims, have since been taken to the Lagos State Accident and Trauma Center for further treatment.
