President Bola Tinubu has returned to Nigeria following his state visit to France and South Africa for the 11th session of the Nigeria-South Africa Bi-National conference.
The president arrived at the presidential wing of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, at about 9:10 pm on Wednesday.
NPO recalls that the President arrives France on Wednesday, following an invitation from the French President Emmanuel Macron.
The visit achieved an agreement between the two leaders, as they signed agreements to strengthen partnerships in critical infrastructure development and promote long-term agricultural and food security.
They also observed the signing of an agreement between Tony Elumelu, Chairman of the United Bank for Africa Group, and Mr. Antoine Armand, the French Minister of Economy, Finance, and Industry, marking the bank’s entry into the Paris market.
Additionally, Zenith Bank launched its operations in France during the visit.
On December 2, Tinubu departed from France for Cape Town, South Africa, where he co-chaired the 11th session of the Nigeria South Africa Bi-National conference.
Nigeria and South Africa operationalized the Joint Ministerial Advisory Council on Industry, Trade and Investment to enhance economic cooperation between the two leading African economies.
Tinubu was received at the airport by the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, and the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, George Akume, among other senior government officials.
