President Bola Tinubu is set to pay a condolence visit to Kano state over the demise of Alhaji Aminu Dantata, a renowned elder statesman, business mogul, and philanthropist.
The President will be hosted by the Kano state government as he commiserates with the family of the late Nigerian business tycoon and the people of Kano state.
This was contained in a statement issued by the Governor’s spokesperson, Sunusi Bature, in Kano on Thursday.
According to Bature, the visit was a show of national unity and respect for the people of Kano and the legacy of the late industrialist.
The state governor, Abba Yusuf, has called on the residents to welcome the president warmly and in an orderly manner, in line with the state’s tradition of hospitality and respect for leaders.
The visit followed the recent passing of Alhaji Aminu Dantata, whose legacy of service, generosity and investment has had a lasting impact on countless lives across Nigeria.
Security and logistics arrangements have been put in place to ensure a smooth and dignified visit.
NPO Reported that the renown businessman passed away last month in Saudi Arabia at the age of 94.
He was laid to rest at the Arab country following the Saudi Arabian’s approval of his interment in the holy land of Mecca.
Dantata was one of the eminent Nigerians President Tinubu had met during his electioneering ahead of the 2023 general elections.
