President Bola Tinubu is set to host the family of the late former President, Muhammadu Buhari, at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, for the official presentation of a book titled From Soldier to Statesman: The Legacy of Muhammadu Buhari.
This was disclosed in an X post by the Late Buhari’s former aide, Bashir Ahmad on Monday.
The event which will hold at the State House Banquet hall of the Presidential Villa is expected to reflect on the life, service and enduring legacy of the former Nigerian leader, whose career spanned military and democratic governance and left a lasting impact on the country’s political history.
According to the Presidency, the book chronicles Buhari’s journey from his early military career to his emergence as a statesman, highlighting key milestones that shaped his leadership and national influence.
President Tinubu is expected to honour the Buhari family at the ceremony, which will bring together government officials, dignitaries and associates to pay tribute to the late former President’s contributions to Nigeria.
The presentation forms part of efforts to document and preserve the legacies of national leaders whose service has influenced generations and the development of the nation.
