A yet to-be-identified motorcyclist was trapped under a fallen tanker at the Alaba Express Bus Stop along the Apapa-Oshodi Expressway in Lagos State.
The incident happened on Tuesday.
The 33,000-litre tanker conveying premium motor spirit outbound Mile 2 accidentally lost control while on motion and fell on it’s side,thereby spilling it’s contents.
The Director, Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service, Margaret Adeseye, disclosed this in a statement on Tuesday saying that efforts to rescue the trapped man were ongoing as at the time she tweeted
She said, “The Lagos State Fire and Rescue Agency, is currently salvaging a 33,000-litre tanker conveying petrol outbound Mile 2 which, reportedly, accidentally lost control while in motion and fell on its side, thereby spilling its contents at Alaba Express Bus Stop, Apapa Oshodi Expressway, Amuwo Odofin, Lagos.

“The incident is being mitigated by the Ajegunle Fire Crew of the Agency and has it under control with no palpable cause for alarm.
“An adult male motorcyclist is however trapped beneath the tanker as efforts are ongoing to recover him.”
