The United States President, Donald Trump has released the first photo of Venezuelan leader, Nicolas Maduro following his arrest.
The photograph, released by Trump on his social media platform, Truth Social, shows Maduro dressed in a gray sweatsuit aboard the USS Iwo Jima, a U.S. Navy amphibious assault ship.
The Venezuelan leader appeared restrained, wearing sound-dampening headphones and a visor-like covering over his eyes, clutching a water bottle as he was transported.
Recall that NPO Reported that the United States had captured Nicolas and his wife, Cilia Flores and launched a “large-scale” strike against the country.
Viral video of the attack showed smoke billowing from the target areas with the impact of the strike triggering emergency alarm on several vehicles parked nearby the affected area.
According to Attorney General Pam Bondi, he has been indicted in New York on drugs and weapons charges and will “face the full wrath of American justice on American soil in American courts”
At a press conference, Trump said the US would “run the country” until a “judicious” transition of government could be made.
Venezuela’s government said that the US had struck three states apart from the capital, Caracas, while neighbouring Colombia’s President Gustavo Petro released a longer list of places that he said had been hit.
