Following the gridlock caused by an accident along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, the Ogun State Police Command has urged travellers to use an alternative route.
This was contained in a statement by the State Police Command via X on Saturday.
Recall that NPO reported that a tragic incident involving two trucks and a bus, occured around the Mountain of Fire Ministry (MFM) Camp axis of the expressway in the early hours of Saturday, claiming six lives.
The statement attributed the traffic to the influx of vehicular traffic from religious activities and a high volume of heavy-duty trucks on the long bridge leading inward Lagos.
“The Ogun State Police Command is advising motorists of significant traffic congestion on the Ibafo outward Lagos road.
“The Command implores motorists to exercise patience or use other alternative routes.
“The police motor traffic units and FRSC are working to manage traffic flow and alleviate congestion.” it assured.
