Disturbing videos of an encounter between influencer Raheem Abike Halimah popularly called Papaya Ex have surfaced online showing her horrible encounter with Policemen in Lagos.
Though the genesis of the encounter could not be ascertained at the time of filing this report, NPO Reports observed that the incident occurred around the Lekki-Ajah axis of Lagos State late in the evening of Friday.
The influencer could be seen in the video accusing the policemen, one of whom was already inside her car, of brutalising her.
A side of her face showed bruises while she also accused the security agents of hitting her breasts with their gun.
It was gathered that Papaya-Ex was on her way from an acting set when she ran into the police checkpoint under the Ajah bridge.
The policemen had flagged her down with one of them allegedly jumping into her car leading to altercations.
NPO Reports that it was in this axis of Lagos that a lawyer Mrs Bolanle Raheem, was fatally shot on Christmas Day in 2022.
The police officer, who fired the shot, Drambi Vandi was alleged to have shot Mrs Raheem at close range as she and several family members were driving home from a church service.
He was later sentenced to death by hanging by Justice Ibironke Harrison of a Lagos High Court had handed down the death sentence saying al evidence before her justified Vandi killed Raheem.
As at the time of filing this report, no response has come from the Lagos State Police Command.
The encounter is already causing outrage among netizens who are accusing the police of endless cases of brutality.
