An Ogun-based woman has urged President Bola Tinubu and the leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to seek proper advise and feel the true pulse of the people of Ogun state before the emergence and the endorsement of any of the governorship aspirants in the state.
Senator Adeola Olamilekan, popularly known as Yayi.
The lady, named Yeye Abioro Oluwakemi in a video posted on her TikTok page, maintained that the APC has strong opposition force in the state as she reminded Tinubu of the party’s narrow escape from defeat during the 2023 Governorship election.
“Sir, I know Progressives do not do primaries. It will be decided by consensus. But I’m very sure you will come to Ogun state to meet our political fathers and leaders like Baba Osoba, Otunba Gbenga Daniel, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, and whoever you suppose to deliberate with.
“But I urge you to be careful with Ogun state politics because Ogun APC has a strong opposition. We had a very narrow escape in 2023.
“Power of incumbency nearly failed if not for people and God. I am not suppose to be saying this to you.
“So, we have a very strong opposition in Ogun state.” She said.
The lady thereafter cautioned the President against imposing any aspirant noting that ver few people have been convinced whether one of the aspirants Senator Solomon Adeola Olamilekan is truly from Ogun state.
This, according to her, will be used against him if he emerges as the APC candidate for the 2027 election in the state.
“And the person they claimed you have endorsed, there is a strong thing to campaign against him in Ogun state which is Senator Yayi because till this moment, we doubt his indigeneship claim in Ogun state.
“I have been waiting for him to convince me and others like me in Ogun state because I’ve challenged him overtime that he is not from Ogun state.” She added.
