Osun State lawmaker, Oluwole Oke, has given reason for quiting the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
NPO Reported that the six-term House of Representatives member representing Obokun/Oriade Federal Constituency had earlier on Wednesday defected from the PDP to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
In his resignation letter, Oke claimed to have made the decision after consulting with his political associate, friends, and family members.
However, when contacted by NPO Reports correspondent, the Osun lawmaker, in a brief text, claimed to have left the PDP due to lawlessness in the opposition party- both at state and national level.
“PDP State and the National level
Lawlessness” he wrote.
NPO Reported that barely hours after his defection, Oke took to his Facebook page to express his support for President Bola Tinubu ahead of the 2027 General Election.
Oke would later be joined by Delta State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori, and some other members of the state PDP chapter to defect to the APC.
