Former Kogi State governor, Yahaya Bello, has been arraigned at the High Court of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Maitama, Abuja by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on Wednesday.
NPO recalls that the former governor drove himself to the office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in Abuja on Tuesday, after which he was arrested.
He is standing trial over his alleged involvement in a N110 billion case.
He is set to be arraigned before Justice Maryanne Anenih of the FCT High Court.
NPO Reports also recalls that the former Governor had earlier been declared wanted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in April 2024
The case, marked FCT/HC/CR/778/24, involves allegations of financial mismanagement totaling N110,446,470,089. Bello is charged alongside two co-defendants, Umar Shuaibu Oricha and Abdulsalam Hudu.
