The Management of the University of Ilorin has announced an attraction of N3000 fine per week on unclaimed certificates by graduates from January 17.
The institution’s registrar, Mr. Monsur Adeleke Alfanla, disclosed this in a statement dated 18th of December, 2024.
He urged all affected graduated to ensure the collection of their certificates on or before the set deadline.
“The University Management has observed that many certificates remain unclaimed by graduates (Undergraduate and Postgraduate) of the University.
“The University Management, therefore, urges all affected graduates to turn up and collect their certificates on or before Friday, 17th January, 2025.
“Thereafter, failure to do so will attract a fine of ₦3,000.00 per week.”
He also advised them to take along the necessary documents required for a seamless collection, such as evidence of payment for convocation, the original copy of the Statement of Result, the Student Identification Card, etc.
