Super Eagles forward, Victor Osimhen, has gifted Remo Stars N10 million over their Nigerian Premier Football League (NPFL) title win.
NPO Reported that the Ogun state- based club had on Sunday made history as the first Southwest club to claim the title since the now-defunct Julius Berger won over 20 years ago.
With their 1-0 victory over Niger Tornadoes at the Remo Stars Stadium, Ikenne, the club also emerged the first Nigerian private owned club to win the title since Udoji United’s 1996 feat.
Joining other prominent Nigerians to celebrate the club, Osimhen congratulated Remo Stars over the feat.
The Galatasaray forward praised the team’s tenacity, which impressed him greatly.
He would further extend kind gesture in celebrating the Southwest club’s achievement by donating the N10 million.
According to report, the breakdown of the gift includes N5 million for the players and N5 million for the technical crew.
