A family of five relocating to London has been identified amongst the victims of the tragic plane crash which claimed over 200 lives in India.
NPO Reported that London-bound Air India plane carrying 242 people had crashed shortly after take-off in Ahmedabad, western India.
The passengers on board the ill-fated plane include 169 Indian nationals, 53 Britons, one Canadian national and seven Portuguese nationals.
While one Briton had miraculously survived the crash, it was the end of the road for Dr. Pratik Joshi who tragically lost his life alongside his wife, Komi, and their three children.
According to a post on X, the medical practitioner who had been living in London alone for six years had returned to India to relocate his wife and children after completing their visa documents and legal requirements.
His wife, Komi, had reportedly resigned from her hospital job in India with their kids saying goodbye to their school friends as they prepare for a new life in London.
Unfortunately, the Air India flight 171 they boarded crashed their hopes and dreams in a matter of seconds after take-off.
Prior to the incident, Pratik took a selfie of them smiling in their seats and sent it to the family group chat with the message, “Next stop: home.”
The flight sadly never reached London as it was engulfed in balls of fire after crashing on a residential building with only one survivor.
