Members of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Lagos State Chapter, have on Monday stormed the state’s House of Assembly in demand for the immediate removal for the party’s state Chairman, Pastor Cornelius Ojelabi.
The aggrieved APC members said to represent all 57 Local Council Development Areas across the state, staged a protest in outside the legislative house complex in Alausa, Ikeja.
They were seen with different placards with inscriptions expressing their dissatisfaction with the current leadership of the party in the state.
Some of the placards, as observed by NPO Reports contained allegations ranging from fake nomination of delegates to creation of voters’ apathy.
They also held that Ojelabi cannot lead the party for the 2027 general election on account of the divide he has allegedly caused.
“We say no to fake delegation”
“Accept duly elected delegates in Kosofe”
“Ojelabi cannot lead APC to general elections”
“Ojelabi is caucus driven.”
“Ojelabi Mr. Voters Apathy”
“Lagos APC must not lose 2027 Election” Some of the placards read.
One of the protesters who spoke to newsmen also accused members of the state House of Assembly of ignoring them.
“As we are here now, they know we are here. But they are not ready to come out and attend to us.
“They should listen to us and here what we are trying to say. They are choking us because they are not listening to what we are saying. They should be leaders and not boss.” She said.
