No fewer than three suspected vandals have been arrested along the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway.
The suspects were apprehended by the Coastal Highway Guards with several steels designed for clear view fence along the highway recovered from them.
This was disclosed in a post shared on X on Wednesday by the Senior Special Assistant to the Lagos State Governor on New Media, Jubril Gawat.
Gawat said that the suspects had been handed over to the Lagos State Police Command.
‘The Coastal Highway guards begins operations on the Lagos Coastal Road, arrests vandals specialised in stealing and destroying the clear view fence on the coastal road.
‘Suspects have been handed over the to the Officers of the Lagos Police Command for further actions.’ The media aide wrote.
Gawat further disclosed that the Coastal Highway guards have also began other operations on the coastal road including clearing of shanties and others.
One of the videos attached to the post showed moment the suspects were apprehended with the vandalised fence materials place beside them.
