Barely 28 days after joining the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Odih Rowland, leader of the Atiku Youth Wing, has made a return to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Odih, in a letter dated 27th of August and addressed to the PDP National Chairman, Umar Damagum, tendered his apology to the party while describing his move to the ADC as a ‘grave mistake’.
The Abuja-based politician acknowledged the PDP’s values of truth, justice, and internal democracy.
He commended the party’s leadership and its ability to resolve its internal crisis.
This, according to Odih, demonstrates PDP’s capacity to win the 2027 elections.
The returnee reaffirmed his loyalty and commitment to the opposition party.
The letter read; “I am writing to express my sincerest apologies for my recent decision to decamp from PDP to ADC on August 1, 2025.
“I realize now that I made a grave mistake by leaving the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), a party that has nurtured my political career for 24 years. I want to apologize to the entire PDP leadership, members, and supporters for my actions.
“I have come to appreciate the values of truth, justice, and internal democracy that PDP stands for. The party’s ability to resolve internal issues and its commitment to the country’s progress have reaffirmed my decision to return to the People’s democratic party PDP.
“I am particularly impressed by the leadership of our National Chairman, which demonstrates PDP’s capacity to win the 2027 elections.
“I firmly believe my impact will be more significant in PDP than in any other party. Following the urging of my ward, local government, state, and national leaders, I have decided to return to PDP with my supporters.
“I pledge to work tirelessly for the party’s victory in 2027. Thank you for considering my apology. I look forward to contributing to PDP’s growth.”
