Human rights activist, Omoyele Sowore, has taken a jab at former Attorney-General of the Federation (AGF), Abubakar Malami, with his ongoing litigation battle.
Sowore had in a post shared on his X handle on Monday disclosed having a brief encounter with Malami in court earlier today.
Attached to the post was the video of the encounter which showed the Sahara Reporters publishers mocking Malami of being persecuted the same way he persecuted him during the late Muhammadu Buhari regime.
“Now you feel it. You’ve been persecuted. When you dey under Buhari that time, Sowore has committed treason. See as the system dey deal with you now.
“Now that you know there is failure in the system, the system is dealing with you now.” He said.
Sowore however expressed his delight with the ex-AGF’s resoluteness.
“I’m glad that you are strong.” He said with Malami affirming the compliment.
“I can never be down as far as Nigeria is concerned.” He replied.
While offering Malami a #RevolutionNow cap which the ex-AGF rejected, Sowore reminded him of their past encounters during his trial under Buhari regime.
“Remember those days when I dey come court dey tell una say this thing will end in disgrace, you see we are now all on the same side.” Sowore said.
Malami admitted to the incidents while acknowledging that the table has turned against him.
“The table has its own way of turning.” He said.
When asked about his absence at the National Summit by opposition leaders in Ibadan by the African Democratic Congress (ADC) and other political parties, Malami cited court cases as reason behind his absence.
“I have been attending ADC’s event. Only that I couldn’t attend the Ibadan summit. I had some other court matters to attend to
“I will keep attending and I remain strong.” He said.
