The Wole Soyinka Center for Investigative Journalism (WSCIJ), is set to host a special edition of its WSCIJ Conversations to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the Wole Soyinka Award for Investigative Reporting (WSAIR).
The virtual dialogue themed: “Wole Soyinka Award rewarding best practices for two decades: Is investigative reporting worth it?” is set to host on the 9th of September, 2025 by 11:00am on X Space @WSoyinkaCentre.
Prominent journalists and media professionals to speak at the dialogue include; Ajibola Amzat, Africa Editor, Centre for Collaborative Investigative Journalism (CCIJ), Juliana Francis, Publisher, Security News Alert, Bukola Coker, Presenter, Channels TV, Mike Asukwo, Cartoon Editor, Business Day, and Lami Sadiq, former Head of Data/Investigation, Media Trust Group.
The session will be moderated by Abosede Adeniran-Aderemi, Newscaster, TVC News.
According to WSCIJ, the conversation will reflect on two decades ofof Wole Soyinka Award for Investigative Reporting (#WSAIR), the recognition, the risks and struggles journalists continue to face and the future of investigative reporting in Nigeria.
