The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has raided the Proxy Night club owned by Nigerian socialite and media personality, Mike Nwogu, popularly known as Pretty Mike, arresting him and over 100 others.
Pretty Mike’s club, located at 7 Akin Adesola street, Victoria Island, Lagos state, was raided by the NDLEA operatives over alleged organisation of drug party.
The raid reportedly occurred in the early hours of Sunday with the over 100 suspects including Pretty Mike arrested and taken into custody for screening.
While confirming the arrest, the NDLEA in a statement issued by its Director of Media and Advocacy, Femi Babafemi, disclosed that cartons of illicit substances including Loud, and laughing gas, were recovered from suspects at the party and the club’s store.
The raid followed intelligence about the drug party.
The NDLEA operatives who carried out the raid were reported to have attended the party undercover around 11pm eysterday.
They however disrupted the gathering at 3am on Sunday based on Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
