The Muhammed Abdulrahman-led faction of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is set to hold emergency National Executive Council (NEC) and Board of Trustees (BoT) meetings.
This coming barely 24 hours after the conclusion of the party’s Elective National Convention held over the weekend in Ibadan, Oyo State.
NPO Reported that the two-day convention where the PDP delegates elected new national leaders also saw the party suspend the Abdulrahman-led faction which included its National Secretary, Samuel Anyanwu.
Also suspended alongside the faction were the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister, Nyesom Wike, and former Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose.
In the wake of their suspension, the faction announced the emergency NEC and BoT meetings.
As contained in a memo issued on Monday by Anyanwu, the meetings are slated to hold on Tuesday at the PDP’s National Secretariat, Wadata Plaza, Abuja.
While the BoT meeting is scheduled for 11am, NEC members are to have their meeting by 2pm at the NEC Hall.
