The Ogun State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) is set to hold a strategic meeting with all governorship aspirants and other stakeholders ahead of the 2027 General Elections.
This was announced in a statement issued on Sunday by the Ogun APC Chairman, Yemi Sanusi.
According to the Chairman, the meeting, slated to hold on Monday at the party’s secretariat in Abeokuta, is aimed at strengthening the party unity while addressing the current political developments.
“The Ogun State Caucus of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has announced a strategic meeting scheduled to hold on Monday, April 13, 2026, at the Party Secretariat in Abeokuta.
“The meeting is part of ongoing efforts to strengthen party unity, review current political developments, and chart a forward-looking course for the party in the state.” Sanusi wrote.
However, the Chairman maintained that attendance at the meeting is strictly limited to State Caucus members as recognized by the Party’s Constitution, Section 12: 1.0.
This include the State party chairman, past state chairmen, serving and past state deputy chairmen, serving and past state secretaries, and serving and past state governors and deputy governors.
Also included in the meeting alongside the current gubernatorial and deputy gubernatorial candidates of the party are serving and past members of the National Assembly, principal Officers of the State House of Assembly, members of the State House of Assembly, and the Secretary to the State Government.
Others include state woman leader, youth leader, leader of Persons Living with Disabilities, the state Legal Adviser, and past Speakers and Deputy Speakers.
Also expected at the meeting are all members of the National and Zonal Executive Committees from the State, National Caucus members from the state, and six women- two from each Senatorial District.
The meeting is scheduled to commence by 4:00 PM with all invited members expected to attend promptly.
