The National Agency for Food and Drugs Administration and Control (NAFDAC) has burst two illegal alcohol production factories in Lagos with N350 million worth of products seized.
NAFDAC made the disclosure in a post shared on its official X handle on Wednesday.
According to the post, the products, comprising of 1,800 cartons of fake and adulterated alcoholic drinks were recovered during at Zamfara Plaza and Trade Fair Complex in Lagos Island.
“Acting on credible intelligence, enforcement operatives raided facilities at Zamfara Plaza, Trade Fair Complex, and Lagos Island, recovering over 1,800 cartons of counterfeit and adulterated alcoholic products valued at approximately ₦350 million.” The post read.

Images attached to the post showed some of the counterfeited alcoholic brands which include Veleta wine, Jack Daniels, Smirnoff Vodka, and 8PM.
Others include Campari, William Lawson’s, Omo-Ope Bitters, Hennessy, Johnnie Walker, and Martell.
