Suspected bandits have attacked a village in Niger State with many feared dead.
The insurgents reportedly stormed Pissa community in Borgu Local Government Area of the state on Saturday, killing several residents.
Graphic videos shared on X showed bodies of vicitms lying in the pool of blood.
According to reports, the insurgents had long issued various threats against Pissa which was considered to be very close to the camp of a bandit kingpin identified as Sadiku.
The total number of casualties is however yet to be ascertained as no official statement has been issued by the state government.
