A Nigerian columnist with The Nation newspaper Sam Omatseye has said that whoever backs Vice President Yemi Osinbajo’s quest for the presidency has elements of treachery in them.
Mr. Omatseye is a known writer who works with The Nation newspaper believed to be owned by one of the contenders for the All Progressive Congress presidential ticket Ahmed Bola Tinubu.
Osinbajo is one of the major contenders for the presidential race within the ruling APC.
In his tweet made in the heat of final showdown for the ticket of the party, Omatseye wrote, “Anyone who supports Osinbajo has a traitor in his heart. Beware of them.”
However many responders have countered Mr Omatseye faulting his position.
One of the responses by Big Sam, wrote “don’t understand you, people…how can a vice president not aspire to be a president especially when he has a good relationship with his principal.
