Afrobeats legend, Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Face, has returned to his home state of Benue to visit victims of the recent attacks in the state.
The visit was captured in a video shared on the singer’s Instagram page on Thursday.
Captioning the post, 2Face wrote:
“Benue is home. When home hurts, we all feel it.
“Today is about standing together, listening, and reminding one another that hope is never lost.”
In the video, the singer was seen exchanging pleasantries with residents and well-wishers, who welcomed him warmly and cheered his arrival.
Speaking in his native dialect, 2Face said he had come to sympathise with the people and stand with them during the difficult period.
The video also showed the singer paying homage to the Tor Tiv V, James Ayatse, where he knelt before the monarch to receive his blessings.
He also visited Tiv Television as part of the trip.
The video has since sparked reactions from netizens, with many commending the singer for returning home to identify with his people in the wake of the attacks.
