Edo State Governor, Monday Okpebholo, has come under fire over his mockery of Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke.
NPO earlier Reported that Okpebholo had trolled Adeleke as he claimed that the people of Osun state are tired of having a dancing governor.
This was considered a jibe at Adeleke’s frequent dancing during public events.
Okpebholo mocked the governor while addressing stakeholders and members of the All Progressives Congress during the campaign of the party’s candidate for the August 15 governorship election, Bola Oyebamiji.
The Edo governor charged the electorates in the state to vote out Adeleke who he claimed is far from reality and demands of the state.
‘Before he signs papers, he will dance. Are you not tired. For four years, this man has been dancing.
‘Before he takes breakfast, he will dance.
‘I was asking my friend now and he said I can’t even remember when last I saw this man in our general meeting in Abuja.
‘Before he even enters the plane, he will dance. Before he gets there, they have closed. He doesn’t know the reality of today.
‘A governor that is not working, the best gift for him is to send him out of that state’ Okpebholo said.
This had however sparked reactions from netizens who slammed the Edo governor, recalling his infamous blunder during the 2025 budget presentation before the Edo House of Assembly.
Others also slammed him for claiming to have defeated his predecessor, Godwin Obaseki. stressing that the ex-Edo governor completed his eight years before leaving office.
