MTN Nigeria, one of the country’s leading telecommunications companies, marks 25 years of operations in Nigeria, celebrating its journey of keeping millions of Nigerians connected.
The company announced the milestone in a post on its official X handle through a campaign tagged, “We’ve Come A Long Way,” on Friday.
According to MTN, the campaign reflects on the “millions of stories lived, shared, and connected through one network,” while highlighting the impact of its services on the lives of Nigerians over the years.
As part of the anniversary celebration, the telecommunications giant released a video showing a city at night, with a glowing road forming the shape of the number 25.
MTN Nigeria began commercial operations in the country in 2001 and has grown its telecommunications services across different parts of Nigeria.
In the 25 years since its establishment, the company has contributed to the expansion of mobile telecommunications and digital connectivity in the country.
The anniversary is coming at a time when telecommunications remains an important part of communication, business activities and access to digital services across Nigeria.
