The 2026 African Democratic Congress (ADC) Presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, has on Monday stormed Osun alongside the party’s national leadership led by Sen. David Mark for the mega rally for the party, Osun governorship candidate Najeem Salam.
Atiku and the ADC leaders were received mammoth crowd who had trooped to the venue of the rally in Osogbo.
They were also received by the party’s National Secretary and former Osun governor, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola who had been in the state since the beginning of the campaign ahead of the August 15 governorship election.
Also among the ADC leaders was former Kogi lawmaker, Dino Melaye, who thrilled the crowd with dance.
Addressing the crowd of supporters, Atiku expressed his gratitude for their turnout as he recalled the past election victories in the state everytime he comes for rally.
‘Each time I stood here, you gave me your vote. I cannot forget that. The reason why I cannot forget that is because your daughter is my house.
‘I came here for the current governor and you voted him. I came here for my Presidential campaign and you voted for me. You defeated Bola Ahmed Tinubu in this state.’ He said.
Atiku appealled to the supporters to back the Salam’s candidacy.
He maintained that the ADC is different from the All Progressives Congress (APC), Accord Party, and other opposition parties.
The former Vice President assured them that they will never regret voting for the party.
‘I have come today to you to appeal to you again to vote for ADC.
‘This is because ADC is different from APC, Accord, and all other parties.
‘The best of Nigerians are today in ADC. I appeal to you that in the tgis governorship election, you should vote for ADC. I can assure you that you will not regret voting for ADC.’ He said.
