The presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Tinubu has been declared the winner in nine local governments of Ekiti State.
This was announced by the Vice Chancellor of Federal University of Health Sciences, Ila Orogun, Osun, Professor Akeem Lasisi, who is also the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Presiding Officer in the state.
Professor Lasisi announced that Tinubu polled the highest votes followed by Atiku Abubakar of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), then Peter Obi of Labour Party and Rabiu Kwankwaso of New Nigerian Peoples Party (NNPP).
The state has 16 local government areas in which Tinubu won in Efon Alaaye Local Government with APC topping the polls with 5873 votes, PDP came second with 2521 votes and the Labour Party with 125 votes.
Also topping the polls in the Gboyin local government, the APC won with 11,969, while the PDP has 4178 votes and Labour Party had 245 votes.
In the Ijero Local Government, APC recorded 12,628 votes, PDP recorded 5731 votes and Labour Party recorded 373 votes.
The APC gathered 11,659 votes in Ikere Local Government, while the the PDP had 7, 198 votes and the LP had 910 votes.
In Ise-Orun Local government, the APC led victory with 11,415 votes, the PDP came second with 2,734 and Labour Party had 497 votes.
Also, In Ido/Osi, APC won with 11,917 votes, PDP also had 7,476 votes and the Labour Party had 78 votes.
Further more, the APC recorded 14,265 votes in Irepodun/Ifeodun Local Government, while the PDP and Labour Party recorded 5516 and 554 votes respectively.
Meanwhile, in Ekiti West LGA, APC led the polls with 14,516 votes, the PDP had 4318 and LP had 391 votes
Lastly, the APC had 12,046 votes in the Moba LGA, while the PDP had 5847 votes and LP recorded 246 votes.
