President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the appointment of the Chairman of the Nigerian Diaspora Commission Mrs. Abike Dabiri-Erewa.
Her appointment was confirmed on Tuesday by the commission via a message posted on its Twitter handle.
The commission expressed gratitude to the President for the gesture saying, “President Muhammadu Buhari has reappointed Abike Dabiri-Erewa for a second term as the Chairman of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM).
Congratulations to our hardworking Chairman Hon. Dr. Abike Dabiri-Erewa @abikedabiri who believes that “The reward for hard work is More Work.”
Dabiri-Erewa, a former member of the House of Representatives, was originally appointed in 2018 into the position completing her first term of 5 years .
The NIDCOM boss has in the time she has supervised the agency, witnessed many cases of handling cases involving Nigerians abroad.
Chief of these are the evacuation of Nigerians from war torn Ukraine and ongoing evacuation of Nigerians from Sudan which is also under another war.
