It was a windy evening on Wednesday as rainfall in the University of Ilorin damaged many facilities in the institution.
The rain which began at about 8:30 on Wednesday evening uprooted many big and chunky tress in the school premises and also brought down quite a number of electric poles.
Meanwhile, business owners, market women and even students were seen lamenting on sighting the damages caused by the rain.
One of the market women (name not disclosed) stated;
“Only God knows when next there would be light and this would affect business. I just restocked on frozen foods, i hope they don’t get spoilt.”
In some of the hostel campuses, roofs were also unroofed and some students complained about flooding.
However, the authorities of the school is yet to release an official information on the recent occurrence.
