In an emotional message shared via her X handle, she praised her husband for his strength, courage and resilience throughout the campaign, describing his commitment to the contest as a source of pride.
NPO Report recalls that Ademola Adeleke of the All Democratic Congress (ADC), was declared the winner of the election after polling 511,067 votes, defeating Oyebamiji who secured 444,815 votes.
She said she witnessed firsthand the sacrifices, long hours and energy he devoted to the election, noting that he consistently gave his best and remained committed to what he believed in.
“My dear, I am deeply proud of you and the strength, courage and resilience you displayed throughout the election,” she wrote.
“I saw firsthand the countless hours, sacrifices and energy you poured into the journey, always giving your very best and standing firmly for what you believed in.”
According to her, the outcome of the election did not diminish the effort her husband put into the contest, stressing that his determination and commitment remained worthy of recognition.
“Whatever the outcome, you gave it your all, and that alone makes me incredibly proud to call you my husband,” she added.
She also commended his composure throughout the electoral process, saying his conduct and determination continued to inspire her.
She urged him to remain hopeful and look beyond the immediate outcome, describing the defeat as another chapter rather than the end of his political journey.
“Keep your head high, my love. This is not the end of the journey; it is another chapter in the story of the great things ahead,” she said.
“I am proud of you today, tomorrow and always,” she said.
