There are indications that the suspended chairman of the Ijebu East Local Government Area Wale Adedayo is in the custody of the Department of State Security as he did not come out of the agency’s office on Friday after honoring its invitation.
The DSS had invited Adedayo over his allegation that Governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun has not been releasing allocations meant for the councils in the state.
NPO Reports also gathered that the Governor was also at the office of the security service at about 8pm Friday night shortly after Adedayo was taken in.
Abiodun had reportedly left the office of the agency about 30 minutes after getting there.
Adedayo was said to still be with the DSS.
Adedayo had also petitioned the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission making similar allegations after his letter to a elder in the state Chief Olusegun Osoba asking the former Governor to plead with the Governor to allow chairmen of councils to perform their duties to their people.
However some councils chairmen had gone to the Governor pleading and dissociating themselves from the action of their colleague.
