There is tension in the Mile 2 area of Lagos Tuesday morning after one person was killed.
NPO Reports gathered that some task force men had visited the area for a yet to be determined reason.
However resistance by some hoodlums was said to have compelled the task force men to open fire to disperse the hoodlums.
In the process one person was reportedly gunned down.
The incident has led to many to stay indoors while the streets are deserted.
A social media user Douye Ken who shared a video of the crisis showed a scene where fire was raging.

NPO Reports later gathered that the violence erupted after the killing of a truck driver in the area.
A resident of the area who spoke with our correspondent on telephone said residents just began to hear sounds of repeated gunshots sending many into panic.
“The gunshots went on for almost 20 minutes. No one even knew what was happening. My son who was about leaving for office had to run back inside the house,” the resident told us.
Providing an update, spokesman of the police in Lagos, Benjamin Hundeyin, said the area is calm after security men cleared all the obstacles used to block the road.
He said “However, I can confirm that police patrol teams have arrived the scene, obstacles are being cleared and free flow of traffic picking up again.
“Further updates to follow…”
