United States President Donald Trump and his wife Melania were rushed out of the venue of dinner held by the White House Correspondent’s Association after gunfire erupted near the venue on Saturday night.
The incident happened at the Washington DC Hilton Hotels where White House security immediately took control and an officer was fired in the process.
In an immediate reaction Trump said a shooter was apprehended while efforts were on to secure more arrests.

The scene showed a bewildered President who was sandwiched between security guards who asked members of the correspondents association and other attendees of the dinner to take to the floor.
