Luck has run out for two suspected burglars after they allegedly broke into a shop at the Ishaga a suburb of Lagos on Saturday.
Spokesman of the Lagos Police Command, Benjamin Hundeyin, said on his X handle that the two were accosted via a stop and search operation leading to the discovery of a power generator, a bluetooth speaker, a gas cylinder and some other items.
Hundeyin said the owner of the items has been contacted for collection of his stolen items. “At about 6:30am, patrol officers from Oko-Oba Division intercepted 24-year-old Adeyemi Ibrahim and 45-year-old Taiwo Adisa in a mini bus popularly known as Korope, with one generator, one gas cylinder and one Bluetooth speaker.
“Upon questioning, it turned out they just broke into a shop in Iju-Ishaga area and stole the items. Shop owner has been contacted for return of property. Prosecution follows.” Hundeyin posted.
