Nigerian Activist and the All Action Congress’s (AAC) 2023 Presidential candidate, Omoyele Sowore, has allayed concern over possible rearrest by security operatives following his release from the Nigeria Immigration Service’s detention.
Speaking in an interview on Arise TV few hours after his release on Sunday, Sowore said he is no longer a stranger to Nigeria’s law enforcement agencies as he talked down concern over his possible rearrest.
He said things will be sorted as usual if he gets rearrested.
“Even if they do, I am not a stranger to them. We will resolve that when we get there.” He said.
Narrating his ordeal at detention, Sowore disclosed his conversation with the immigration officers.
“They just came to me and said we were looking for you. They said ‘we were looking if you have a waiver for the watchlist. I said what is a watchlist?
*Another ten minutes later, they came and said oh we’ve resolved the issue. You can have your passport back now.
“Some of them nicely escorted me to my bags” He said.
However, the activist declared that one his bags is missing and yet to be seen since his release.
Recall the Sahara Reporter Publisher was apprehended by the immigration service with his passport seized earlier today following his arrival at Lagos Airport.
