The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) has celebrated with Nigeria’s First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu, over her 64th birthday.
This was contained in a statement issued by the association’s President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, on Sunday.
While extending heartfelt wishes to the First Lady, CAN, in the statement made available to NPO Reports, urged her to look into the plight of Nigerians in the face of insecurity and economic hardship.
Commending her commitment to social causes, they encouraged her continue her advocacy for the marginalized and voiceless.
The statement read in part; “The national leadership of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) joins in celebrating the birthday of Nigeria’s First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu.
“On this special occasion, we extend our heartfelt wishes for her continued health, happiness, and success in her role as a leader and advocate for the people of Nigeria.
“As First Lady, Mrs. Tinubu has shown a strong commitment to various social causes, particularly in agriculture, women’s empowerment, education, healthcare, and philanthropy.
“Her efforts in these critical sectors are commendable and reflect a deep understanding of the challenges facing our nation.
“However, it is crucial to acknowledge the pressing issues many Nigerians face today. Rising inflation, insecurity, and the ongoing struggle for basic necessities have significantly impacted countless families.
“As we celebrate the First Lady’s contributions, we must also call for renewed dedication from all levels of government to address these pressing concerns.
“We encourage the First Lady to continue her advocacy for the marginalized and voiceless, ensuring their needs and aspirations are prioritized in national discourse. We hope her influence can help catalyze positive change, fostering a Nigeria where every citizen can thrive in peace and prosperity.
