Kebbi state governor, Nasir Idris, has, on Wednesday, approved a new minimum wage of N75,000 for the state’s workers.
This was disclosed in a post on X.
As it stands, Kebbi state will be the 16th state to approve the new minimum wage ever since its signing into law by President Bola Tinubu.
The demand for new minimum wage arose in the wake of Tinubu’s fuel subsidy removal and Naira devaluation which left the country languishing in inflation.
In reaction, the the Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC) embarked on warning strikes demanding for increment in the minimum wage as economic hardship bites harder on Nigerian.
