Democrats party’s presidential candidate, Kamala Harris is set to make her first speech after suffering defeat to Donald Trump at the almost concluded 2024 United States general election.
The US Vice President will be breaking her silence hours after Donald Trump’s historic US presidential election victory
According to BBC, Harris will be addressing the nation for the first time since her defeat when she speaks to supporters at Howard University at 16:00 EST (21:00 GMT)
Having won majority of the swing states, Trump surpassed the required 270 electoral votes to emerge winner of the election.
He had told jubilant crowds in Florida earlier that; “America has given us an unprecedented and powerful mandate”
BBC reported that of the seven crucial swing states, Trump won North Carolina, Georgia, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin, and is ahead in Michigan, Nevada, and Arizona
With the official result yet to be declared, Harris also kept mum as she is yet to concede defeat.
