The Chairman of the African Action Congress (Oyo State), Kayode Babayomi, has confronted suspected vote buyers in the ongoing Ondo State Governorship election.
This occured at Ward 3 ,Unit 11 and 12, Ilutuntun,Okitipupa Local Government Area.
“I caught these APC guys sharing money to voters ,10k per vote ,a million per unit.
“We have a long way to gooooooo.. police walked into the nearest cassava farm to hide .”
A video sighted by NPO Reports shows Babayomi walking up to some men sitting down with a list of names and holding naira notes.
In the clip, one of the men was seen giving Naira notes to a woman.
Meanwhile, upon sighting the AAC Chairman, he hid the money with him.
The Chairman on suspicion demanded an explanation as to what they were up to.
“I’m not a baby and I know what is happening
“You also know what is happening here
“So you saying you don’t know is like you’re trying to fool me. You are buying votes here.” He said.
Meanwhile, the men declined being involved in such acts repeatedly saying “We are not buying votes.”
NPO Reports that there are similar reports of vote buying across the State since the election commenced.
