Nigerian Afrobeat singer, David Adeleke, Davido, appeared not to be slowing down anytime soon on his defence of the re-election bid of his uncle and Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, as he posted the poor secondary school results of Edo State Governor, Monday Okpebholo, hours after trolling Adeleke.
NPO Reported that Okepbholo had yesterday made mockery of Adeleke during his address at the All Progressives Congress, APC, stakeholders meeting and campaign for Bola Oyebamiji, the party’s candidate for the August 15 governorship election in Osun.
The Edo governor had in a viral video urged the electorates in the state to vote out Adeleke as he held that Osun is tired of a dancing governor.
‘Before he signs papers, he will dance. Are you not tired. For four years, this man has been dancing.
‘Before he takes breakfast, he will dance.
‘I was asking my friend now and he said I can’t even remember when last I saw this man in our general meeting in Abuja.
‘Before he even enters the plane, he will dance. Before he gets there, they have closed. He doesn’t know the reality of today.
‘A governor that is not working, the best gift for him is to send him out of that state’ Okpebholo said.
This had seen the Edo governor come under heavy backlash, as netizens who slammed him, recalling his infamous blunder during the 2025 budget presentation before the Edo House of Assembly.
Davido would compound Okpebholo’s woes as he posted a copy of the governor’s West African Secondary School Certification Examination, WASSCE, results on his Instagram handle.
The 2008 results of the governor who sat for the examination at the age of 36 was filled with low grades.
Okpebholo recorded D7 in four subjects which include Commerce, Christian Religious Studies, Economics, and English Language.
He however managed to get a C5 in Mathematics while recording E8 in Government.
