The United States of America’s Embassy in Baghdad and the US Consulate in Karachi currently under attack as angry mob and supporters of Ayatollah Khameni stormed the premises over the death of the Iranian Supreme leader.
NPO Reported that Khameni was on Saturday killed in a multiple strike by the US and Israeli forces in Theran, the country’s capital city.
While some Iranians had taken to the street to celebrate the death of Khameni, follower and loyalists of the late supreme leader would on Sunday converge in Southern Iran, demanding revenge over the murder of their leader.
This would be followed by the attack on the US embassy and consulate.
Video shared on X by Iran Observer showed think smoke emanating from the US embassy in Baghdad with several gunshots heard.
At the US Consulate in Karachi, a group of armed angry mob stormed the premises, vandalising the consulate’s facilities.
The outburst has created divide withing the Arab country while stirring unrest across the Gulf Region.
