The Osun State governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Oyebamiji, was absent at the peace accord signing ceremony by political parties and their candidates ahead of the August 15 governorship election.
Oyebamiji who seeks to take over the Osun governorship seat from the incumbent governor and the Accord Party’s candidate, Ademola Adeleke, was absent at the peace accord lsuprintended by the National Peace Committee (NPC).
According to reports, the NPC, led by former head of state, General Abdulsalami Abubakar, is meant to commit the parties and their supporters, for the election.
All the 14 political parties participating in the election signed the accord.
Meanwhile, the APC was represented by the State Publicity Secretary, Kola Olabisi at the signing ceremony.
Also appearing after the ceremony was the APC deputy governorship candidate, Benjamin Kayode Adereti.
The governorship candidates present at the ceremony apart from Adeleke include Olarewaju Farinloye (AA); Esan Olajide (AAC); Salaam Najeem (ADC); Adeagbo Opawoye (ADP); Adeyemi-Doro Adesina (APGA); and Adebayo Adewale (APM).
Others include Adesuyi Clement (APP); BP Adeleke Adesoji (BP); Adeleke Taofeek (NNPP); Saliu Oyelami (PRP) YPP – Ogunsakin Enoch (YPP); and Adesuyi Olufemi (ZLP).
