The National leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has ordered the swearing-in of all officials elected at the party’s state congresses held across the country.
NPO Reported that the party had on Tuesday conducted the state-level congress across all the states under its leadership.
With some of the states which include Lagos, Ogun, Oyo, and Benue already concluding the congress, the APC, in a statement issued by its National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, directed that all the ward, local government, and state executive committees elected at the congress be sworn in.
The party called for their immediate inauguration in accordance with the provisions of the APC’s constitution.
“The All Progressives Congress (APC) hereby directs that the Ward, Local Government and State Executive Committees duly elected at the 2026 Congresses of the Party be sworn in/ inaugurated today or soon hereafter in accordance with the relevant provisions of the Party’s Constitution.
“Our great Party wishes to thank all members, stakeholders and supporters for the peaceful conduct of Congresses around the country. Congratulations to all.” The statement read.
NPO Reported that the Lagos APC Congress had seen the re-election of Pastor Cornelius Ojelabi as the state’s party chairman for the second time.
In Ibadan, former Oyo Deputy Governor, Moses Adeyemo, emerged as the new chairman of the APC Oyo State Chapter.
Meanwhile, the congress is still ongoing in other states like Enugu, Delta, and Niger amongst others.
