Arsenal has been crowned Premier League champions on Sunday after defeating Crystal Palace 2-1 at Selhurst Park.
The victory sealed Arsenal’s 14th English league title and their first Premier League triumph in 22 years, following their historic 2003-04 “Invincibles” campaign.
Mikel Arteta’s side secured the win through goals from Gabriel Jesus and Noni Madueke, giving the Gunners their 26th victory of the league season.
Jean-Philippe Mateta scored a late goal for Crystal Palace, but it was not enough to stop Arsenal’s title celebrations.
Arsenal had already been confirmed as Premier League champions on Tuesday night after Manchester City failed to defeat AFC Bournemouth, leaving Pep Guardiola’s side four points behind the North London club before the final round of fixtures.
Following their Premier League success, Arsenal will now turn attention to the UEFA Champions League final, where they are set to face defending champions Paris Saint-Germain F.C. in Budapest, Hungary, on May 30.
The club will be aiming to complete a historic double by adding European glory to their domestic title-winning campaign.
