Opposition leader, and former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, has expressed sympathy with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu over Wednesday’s fall at the parade ground in Abuja.
Tinubu, while mounting the parade van for the June 12 anniversary parade at the Eagle Square had missed his steps and fallen down.
He was quickly helped back on his feet his aides.
NPO Reported earlier that the President did not appear hurt as he carried on with the parade inspecting the guard of honour.
Reacting and expressing his sympathy, Atiku said “I sincerely sympathise with President Bola Tinubu, over this unfortunate incident as he was set to review the parade on Democracy Day. I do hope that all is well with him.”
The presidency, while making a statement on the fall by the president said there was no issue at all.
“Mr President missed his step while climbing into the truck at the June 12 Democracy Day celebration and tripped. It was a mild misstep. He immediately went on with the ceremonial rounds. No issues,” said Olusegun Dada Special Assistant to the President on Social Media
