Paul Ibe, The Media Adviser to Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, has accused TVC News and Mr. Lere Olayinka, an aide of Minister of the FCT, Nyesom Wike of spreading misleading reports concerning the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
In a post on Facebook, Ibe described TVC and Wike’s aide as “purveyors of FakeNews and enemies of democracy.”
“Name and shame purveyors of Fakenews and enemies of democracy: President Bola Tinubu’s @officialABAT owned Tvcnewsng, Nyesom Wike’s lapdog, Lere Olayinka, and their gang of anti-democratic elements.
“Kudos to Premium Times and the segment of the media still standing up for truth and democracy.” He wrote.
NPO Reports that TVC and Olayinka had reported that the Federal High court had barred the former Senate President David Mark, Former Governor of Osun State, Aregbesola and others from parading themselves as the national executive members of the party.
Meanwhile, an independent check on INEC’s portal by the NPO Reports further confirmed that they were identified as the party’s executive members.
As updated on the portal, the commission also formally recognised, Akibu Dalhatu as the party’s National Financial Secretary while Prof. Oserheimen Osunbor stand as the ADC’s National Legal Adviser.
The group, comprising of prominent political opposition leaders such as former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, former Rivers state governor, Rotimi Amaechi, and his Kaduna counterpart, Nasir El-Rufai, had on the 2nd of July adopted the ADC ahead of the 2027 Presidential election.
