Google in Africa says the increase in software development in Africa has increased tremendously, with Nigeria adding 5,000 new professionals in 2021. Nitin Gajria, the company’s Managing Director, said, in a statement on Monday, that the rise was impressive in spite of the pandemic and global economic challenges the continent’s developer experienced. Gajria said it findings were based on the Ecosystem Report 2021 conducted across 16 Sub Sahara African countries. The Board of the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria has ordered for a fresh Objective Structured Clinical Examinations(OSCE) over alleged irregularities. The first examination had been held last year but was in November last year but was discovered to be full of misconduct. The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has warned motorists to desist from travelling with petrol in jerry cans in their vehicles. Mr. Sikiru Alonge, the FRSC Unit Commander in Ore, gave this warning while speaking on Monday in Ore, Ondo State. An Ado-Ekiti, Chief Magistrates’ Court on Monday, ordered that a 63-year-old man, Akin Aderiye, be remanded in the correctional centre in Ado-Ekiti over alleged defilement. The police charged Aderiye, whose address was not provided, with defilement. The Chief Magistrate, Mr. Bankole Oluwasanmi, did not take the plea of Aderiye for want in jurisdiction. Luck has run out for two women in Ota area of Ogun state as they were arraigned on Monday over forging of 117 POS receipts. The two women, Mutiat Ajoke, 27, and Ayaga Bolanle, 50, appeared before an Ota Magistrates’ Court in Ogun.
